notice anything wrong in this picture? take alook at the top? notice how there are 299 stitches, when there should only be 84? yeah! water under the bridge now...
because i frogged it back to the end of the pattern, and started over again! how do i manage to get myself into these situations, not reading the patternt horoughly i guess. and... ad if i dont have enough knitting problems already, look at what i bumped into today...
cotton tape, a discontinued colour at a discounted price! i have been wanting to do carla, but just wasn't convinced i could, but who could resist, not i! I guess i'll be doing my first knit along, hope it's not too late. now that i think about it, there should be a knit along for the rebecca apricot cardi, a lot of people seem to have done one, or are in the process of creating one as i type.

Ooooo...where did you get such loverly discounted yarn? It is like music to my ears!

Hi Babette,
Looking good! Thanks so much for the help at SnB the other night, and also, for posting the correct stitch count. I totally would have done the same as you did the first time by ending up with the 299 stitches. The pattern is written so vaguely that it can easily seem as if you need to keep increasing on every right side row as in the 1st pattern repeat. How did you figure out what the right way is? You're definitely a pro if you can figure this out on your own--I'm just learning from your experience.
Can't wait to meet you in Carla land. Mine has been stalled--need to get through my Rebecca cardi hurdle first before I do those notorious armhole decreases on the Carla, which is where I am now.
See you soon!

I'm just about to start the Apricot cardi. Undecided whether to use Rowan All Seasons Cotton, or spring for the GGH Java.

Hi there! I've ripped out my Apricot cardi 3times so far. Did you figure out the increases? I keep ripping out past the ribbing, and I can't figure out what they mean by widening of outer panels, and the reducing sts. in rib pat. in the center. Then what is the rep. rows 9-10 throughout??? I really love this cardi, but I hate this vague pattern!!!! Please share.
